Preventative Measures: Why Taking a Proactive Approach to Your Health is Crucial

Updated: Jan 16, 2024

Have you ever felt so overwhelmed with life and the decisions we all need to make, that you just felt like throwing in the towel and letting it be what it will be?

I know you have. We ALL have.

When it comes to optimizing our age and taking control of our health, I'll admit there ARE so many aspects to consider. It's easy to feel SO overwhelmed, the only choice that's obvious to us or feels right at the time... ...is to not choose at all. To just let it be what it will be.

So, what's the problem?

Regret.

Ask any 90-year-old waiting to die in a convalescent home suffering from pain and depression from isolation, whether they would go back to when they were 60 if they could, and take a more proactive approach to their health…what do you think they would say? 😢

I bet many would. If they could.

So, what's the answer?

Start HERE, with 3 TIPS. Give yourself the best opportunity to avoid the regret of old age.

☑️1. Take 1 minute today where it is quiet and you're alone. Close your eyes. Take a slow deep breath, and as you do, try to create a positive, hopeful, healthy vision in your mind's eye of the way you'd like your health and life to play out over the second half. Reinforce that vision every day and change your mindset about what it means to age well!

☑️2. Make one small choice or decision today that creates better health. It could be 5 minutes of exercise or one food substitution. Make sure you don't try to do too much too soon. One small choice, repeated, has incredible power.

☑️3. Look for a coach or guide to help you step by step to take control. Why? We often can't and shouldn't try to do it alone. With a coach or someone to help you, it won't feel overwhelming and you can make real progress!

Don't be overwhelmed! Instead, reach out and seek some support and guidance. It will be the best time and money you ever spend, I guarantee it!
