FAQ
General
I offer several distinct coaching services, each designed for di$erent needs and levels of support:
• Career & Life Coaching (Session-Based) – Structured, goal-focused coaching without ongoing advisory access
• Mentoring – Longer-term developmental guidance emphasizing perspective, experience, and accountability
• Strategic Career & Life Advisory – Higher-touch support for complex transitions, leadership decisions, or sustained change
• Health Coaching – Nutrition, habit, and lifestyle coaching delivered through an onboarding-first model
Each service is intentionally defined to ensure clarity, fit, and appropriate expectations.
Choosing the right service depends on your goals, the level of complexity you’re navigating, and the type of support you need.
• Career & Life Coaching (Session-Based) is best for specific goals, decisions, or skill-building where focused sessions are sufficient.
• Mentoring is appropriate if you want longer-term developmental guidance and perspective without the scope or intensity of strategic advisory.
• Strategic Career & Life Advisory is designed for complex transitions, high-stakes decisions, or situations where continuity of judgment materially improves outcomes.
• Health Coaching is appropriate for nutrition, habit, weight management, metabolic health, or lifestyle-related goals and follows an onboarding-first model.
If you’re unsure, starting with a session or an initial conversation is usually the right first step.
Clients often choose to work with me because I bring a structured, grounded, and realistic approach to coaching that balances insight with execution.
What distinguishes my work includes:
• Decades of professional experience across manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare, and large enterprise environments
• A calm, analytical coaching style grounded in systems thinking and real-world constraints
• Clear engagement boundaries that protect focus, effectiveness, and outcomes
• Experience supporting complex decisions, transitions, and long-term change
• Health coaching informed by evidence-based lifestyle medicine principles, with an emphasis on sustainability rather than extremes
I do not offer hype, one-size-fits-all solutions, or pressure-based programs. My role is to help clients think clearly, make intentional decisions, and build progress they can sustain. Fit matters. Clients who value structure, thoughtfulness, and realistic change tend to benefit most from working together.
A Discovery Session is a complimentary, no-obligation conversation designed to help both of us determine whether working together makes sense.
During this session, we:
• Get to know each other and begin building rapport
• Discuss your goals, challenges, frustrations, and priorities
• Explore what type of support may be most helpful
• Review how my coaching services are structured
• Mutually assess fit before any commitment is made
Discovery Sessions are conversational and exploratory — not sales calls. There is no pressure to move forward, and no obligation to book additional services.
If we decide that working together makes sense, we’ll discuss appropriate next steps. If not, you’ll still leave with greater clarity around your situation.
A Personal Development Plan (PDP) is a structured framework used in career and life coaching to clarify direction and guide intentional action.
My PDP framework helps clients:
• Define goals and priorities
• Assess their current situation realistically
• Identify constraints, tradeoffs, and opportunities
• Develop a clear, actionable path forward
• Stay aligned as circumstances evolve
A PDP is not a static document—it is a living framework that supports better decisions over time. Not every engagement requires a full PDP, but it is often a powerful foundation for clients navigating change. PDPs are primarily used in career and life coaching and are not required for health coaching engagements.
Yes. Some clients want a PDP and structured coaching sessions without committing to mentoring or advisory support.
Session-based coaching allows:
• Focused PDP development
• Structured conversations around goals and decisions
• Minimal between-session communication
Clients who later want additional support can explore mentoring or advisory options, but there is no requirement to commit upfront.
Yes. While each Career & Life Coaching session is designed to stand on its own, some clients choose to work through a defined objective across a short series of sessions.
When appropriate, multi-session purchases may be available at a reduced per-session rate. These options are discussed after an initial Discovery Session to ensure clarity, fit, and appropriate expectations.
A custom nutrition plan is personalized, practical, and built for real life—not a generic meal template.
Plans are developed based on:
• Health goals (e.g., weight loss, metabolic health, inflammation reduction)
• Medical considerations and risk factors
• Food preferences, allergies, and sensitivities
• Lifestyle, schedule, and cooking comfort
• Activity level and exercise routine
Plans typically include:
• Clear nutrition structure and guidelines
• Flexible meal and snack options
• Protein, fiber, and balance considerations
• Anti-inflammatory and metabolic-supportive strategies
• Adjustments based on real-world feedback
For clients who are receptive, guidance may be informed by evidence-based principles from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). These approaches are often plant-predominant and whole-food focused, while remaining flexible and individualized.
Plans may also include lean protein sources such as fish or poultry based on client needs and preferences.
Yes. I work with clients who are currently using or transitioning off GLP-1 medications.
Coaching focuses on:
• Preserving muscle mass and metabolic health
• Developing sustainable eating and habit patterns
• Supporting long-term weight maintenance
• Reducing reliance on medication when appropriate
I do not prescribe or manage medications. Coaching complements medical care by addressing behavior change and lifestyle foundations.
Sustainable health change happens over weeks and months, not days.
Progress is often reflected in:
• Consistency with nutrition and habits
• Energy levels and satiety
• Improved routines and decision-making
• Gradual, sustainable changes rather than rapid outcomes
The pace of progress depends on individual goals, starting point, health history, and engagement. Coaching emphasizes long-term sustainability rather than short-term fixes.
After a service is purchased, I will personally reach out to coordinate scheduling.
Rather than using automated scheduling tools, sessions are scheduled collaboratively to find a mutually agreeable time for a Zoom meeting. This approach allows flexibility, accommodates different time zones, and ensures the engagement begins with direct communication.
All sessions are conducted via Zoom unless otherwise agreed.
Coaching is not therapy and does not replace care provided by licensed mental health professionals.
My coaching:
• Focuses on goals, habits, decisions, and forward progress
• Emphasizes behavior change, structure, and accountability
My coaching does not include:
• Diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions
• Trauma processing or psychotherapy
• Clinical counseling typically provided by licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, or therapists
Clients who require therapy or are already working with a licensed provider are encouraged to continue doing so. Coaching may complement—but does not replace—clinical mental health care.
Each service has a defined entry point:
• Health Coaching begins with a required onboarding package
• Career & Life Coaching typically begins with a Discovery Session, followed by session-based coaching as appropriate.
• Mentoring and Strategic Advisory begin by inquiry
All booking and payment are handled through a secure third-party system on the website.
