Why Consistency is the Key to Achieving Your Goals

Updated: Jan 2, 2024

One of the many things I’ve learned in my 65 years of life is to let go of perfection.

I’m not going to be perfect. Most days are going to go great and then there are days where I am not on point.

It’s all part of the journey! Being consistent in achieving your goals and dreams is key! 🔑

Consistency is key to achieving any goal, whether it be personal or professional. It is the commitment to take action every day towards the attainment of your objectives. Unfortunately, many people struggle to maintain consistency, which can lead to frustration, discouragement, and ultimately, giving up on their dreams.

Here are a few tips to help you stay consistent and achieve your goals:

Set clear goals - Clearly define what you want to achieve and break it down into smaller, more manageable steps. Write down your goals and track your progress to stay motivated.

Develop a routine - Create a routine that works for you and stick to it. Whether it's waking up early to exercise or blocking off time in your calendar for important tasks, consistency in your routine will help you stay focused and make progress.

Eliminate distractions - Identify the things that distract you from achieving your goals and eliminate them. This might mean turning off your phone or avoiding social media during work hours.

Stay accountable - Share your goals with someone you trust and ask them to hold you accountable. This could be a friend, family member, or even a coach or mentor.

Celebrate your wins - Celebrate every milestone you achieve, no matter how small. This will help you stay motivated and reinforce your commitment to your goals.

So my best tip from what I’ve learned is to keep facing forward. That’s where I’m going! I’m working on being 1% better every day. Want to join me?

It's not about being perfect. It's about being better than you were yesterday.
